9-9-2013 Kona

Each day here we start with group devotion at 6:00 am around the flag pole that represents
40 nations with the flags.    Each student and their country has a flag flying.  Quite amazing
and pretty.       Then breakfast and 7 am work begins.   You would have to see this operation
to believe it and in the human, natural realm it could/should not work at all.    The entire
University is operated by/with  VOLUNTEERS from :    Child care workers, cashiers, cooks,
administrators, housekeeping, teachers, receptionists, dishwashers, maintenance, landscaping
and any thing else that happens here !!  People all ages, sizes, races come here to:  attend the
University of the Nations for the call of missions, to learn, be equipped, grow spiritually, understand
and know missions and the plan of GOD on/in their lives,   or #2   to be a "Mission Builder" which
is what we are doing.   Mission Builders are all ages and I cannot believe that some of the people can function here with the amount of hills, and more hills, stairs 2 & 3 flights all over the campus.  It is a LARGE campus with LOTS of walking.  That is where the volunteering comes in to play.   GOD is so faithful when a cook or housekeeper, etc.  leaves GOD sends someone else.   Each application is prayed over before placing them in their volunteer position.    Some people have been here 15-18 yrs. and some for only 2 months.   AMAZING!!!!

We have been so enriched by the testimonies of some of the people here in how GOD asked them, sent them or opened the door for them to come to U. of Nations.

One man our age (professional business man) was asked by God to come here to volunteer and he
did NOT want to give up his job and come to Kona.    He argued with God and even felt like Jonah
and he asked God ..... "Am I Jonahing you, God?"     He came up with  5  different major reasons that he could NOT come to Kona.    God answered all 5 of them without a doubt to him and so he had
one final reason ...... "God ... what about my 401 K, retirement"????    God said to him (not audible) but strongly in his heart...... Really ???  David, really you are going to worry about this??     So
he came and has been here for  2 yrs.

Ywam is well run, strict, and very well planned out and full of discipline for all.    Ea. person is told before they come:
This is  NOT vacation time  in Hawaii........  you are here to work for GOD by volunteering your services.
The week-ends are for your free-time but the week all belongs to God with your services.
We will share some of the pictures of the young people and  areas.....but once again you really
have to be here to understand and see the working of the LORD ea. minute of ea day here !!

God Bless,
Peggy
